About Us
Classic Catering and Events was founded by Kim Adams and Heather Jones, a mother-daughter duo. We underwent a name change in 2017 and became Classic Catering and Events. Prior to being Classic Catering and Events, we were known as Cakes and Catering by Kim. Cakes and Catering by Kim was formed for Kim (Mom) to do cakes and catering on the side while she was a full time Accountant. Mom left the corporate world and began doing cakes and catering full time in January of 2016. In June of 2016, I (Heather) joined her. We built our full-time business and decided to become Classic Catering and Events in order to market our business is a more professional way.
Classic Catering and Events has so much to offer, and you won't regret having us on your vendor team. Whether your event is a small corporate lunch or a large wedding or fundraiser, Mom and the Catering Team are up for the challenge. We offer a variety of menus that can be tailored to fit what you're looking for. Mom has over 40 years of cake decorating experience and over 35 years of catering experience. She is an amazing cook, and people are always raving about her food. If she has anything to do with your catering, your guests will absolutely leave happy!​

I grew up bing Mom's little helper. I've literally been helping her my entire life, so I grew up around all kinds of events. Mom put me to work as soon as I was old enough to set a table, which was about two! I am very familiar with several aspects of events, so I know what it takes to make an event successful. I began wedding planning in college while also helping Mom cater. Wedding planning turned into florals and those ventures blossomed into Once Upon A Bloom back in 2021.​
